Calculating your ideal water intake
Calculate how much water you should drink by dividing by two your weight in pounds. The resulting number is the ounces of water you need to consume daily. For example, if you weigh 150 pounds, you should drink 75 ounces of water daily. Eating water-rich foods, such as melons, celery, and soup broth, will also help keep you hydrated
